Cornish Pasty Week 2026 kicks off on 23rd February, celebrating Cornwall’s iconic foodstuff until 1st March. Culminating in the Global Pasty Championships, to be held at the Lost Gardens of Heligan on Saturday 28th February. Picking up where 2022 left off this competition will give pasty lovers the chance to win a global title.
Our much-loved mascots, Mr & Mrs Pasty, will be popping up around the county, and maybe even further afield during Cornish Pasty Week. Keep an eye on our social channels to find out where they will be, don’t forget the ultimate meet and greet at the Global Pasty Championships.
Taking place on the Saturday before St Piran’s Day, this new event brings together bakers, families and food lovers from Cornwall and beyond for a joyful celebration of pasty-making, music and Cornish pride.
Hosted by The Lost Gardens of Heligan , the Global Pasty Championships is a day dedicated to the world’s favourite hand-crimped creation.
Picking up from 2022 this new competition features open and junior categories, for more details and most importantly, to enter click HERE.
The Cornish Pasty Association will be there on the day with the return of the World’s Fastest Crimper competition, kids pasty making and also special appearances from Mr and Mrs Pasty. As well as the competition, there will be a full line up of live Cornish and pasty themed entertainment, great for a family day out.
Once again pasty makers and bakers will be pledging pasty sales to the Cornish Pasty Community Fund. Raising funds to help get kids cooking in schools, this fantastic initiative goes from strength to strength, helping increase students’ confidence and build cooking skills.
If you would like to sign up your business and pledge a fixed sum or as little as 1p per pasty sold during
the week — simply email us at [email protected] to sign up and receive your promotional toolkit.
CPA Chairman Jason Jobling is looking forward to the week:
“Hats off to The Lost Gardens of Heligan for creating this exciting new event celebrating Cornwall’s favourite food, the not-so-humble pasty, and its many global variations.
Cornish Pasty Week is now embedded in the calendar and the new Global Pasty Championships promises to be a fitting finale.
Inviting juniors to join in with the help of an adult is a great way to keep up Cornwall’s fine baking traditions and encourage the next generation of pasty makers.”
We’re looking forward to baking and tasting, so get crimping!
A HUGE thank you to all the businesses that are supporting Cornish Pasty Week raising money for the Cornish Pasty Community Fund this year. Watch this space for the final amount raised.
